What Causes Pain In The Heel Of The Foot ?

Causes of Pain in the Heel of the Foot:

  1. Plantar Fasciitis is the most common complaint that causes heel pain. The tight tissue that forms the arch of the foot gets inflammed. Heel pain is the result with prolonged standing and walking.
  2. Heel Spur is associated with plantar fasciitis. It is seen in persons who have long-standing heel pain due to plantar fasciitis.
  3. Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome leads to a large nerve at the back of the foot to be pinched, causing heel pain.
  4. Posterior heel pain causes symptoms behind the foot.
