Aluminum Foil Poisoning

Aluminum is a form of metal that is present in our surrounding environment in the food we eat, the water we drink, and the soil. Aluminum is toxic for health and most of people do suffer from this toxicity to a certain extent. Only when the toxic levels of aluminum increase in the body it leads to poisoning.

However, aluminum tends to accumulate in the body and as the person’s exposure to it increases it keeps collecting in the muscles and tissue of the body. When the amount of aluminum concentration increases it starts affecting the skeletal structure and causes deformities. Most of us who eat food that comes from aluminum foil wrapping also consume a little amount of aluminum at that time. Eating rarely from such food may not cause dangers of deformity but using aluminum foil everyday may have its detrimental effects.

There are several dangers of aluminum toxicity, like it becomes poisonous and starts interfering with sleep patterns, causes nervousness, and also brings in emotional instability. It plays havoc with the nervous system. It also brings in memory loss, frequent headaches and impairs intelligence. Moreover, it also interferes with the digestive system and stops the body’s ability to absorb calcium, potassium, and fluoride. The bones naturally become weak due to this and also start deforming.  Speech problems and anemia also become coherent problems with aluminum toxicity.

The biggest source of aluminum is over the counter medications and arthritis medicines. These medications when consumed on a daily basis can induce aluminum into the body as they contain it.
