When Will Sunburn Turn Tan ?

One can get sunburned easily during hot summer days, and while holidaying at beaches or snowy mountains. Many people have the common misconception that sunburn will always turn into sun tan. This is not true. Moderate and severe sunburns can be very painful with permanent damage to the skin. They result in blisters and peeling off of the skin, and never a tan.

So, it is best to use a good sun-block or sunscreen lotion to prevent sunburn.

With relatively minor sunburn, applying aloe vera helps your skin to recover faster. The skin may naturally turn to a tan as the redness fades away, unless it is on a very pale and light color skin. The whole process usually takes about two to four days. After the sunburn has healed and there is no longer pain or redness, one can use a fake tanning lotion or spray.  Applying a blush or bronzer on the face will help to keep the sun-tanned look for longer.

To get a better suntan results without getting sunburned, one needs to use the right amount of sunscreen and tanning lotion. Another common practice is to spray your skin with a solution of 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water. After a while, when the skin has absorbed the solution one should take a short shower. Next apply the commonly used suntan lotion to protect your skin from sunburns in the spring and summer seasons.

Remember, applying a suntan lotion will allow your body to get a tan slowly instead of getting sunburned while you are in the process of trying to get a quick tan.
