Sometimes normal children show autistic behavior patterns. This especially is observed in teens. It is okay for a 2 or 3 year old child to throw temper tantrums and behave irrationally because they are very low on emotional understanding. |
However, teens are expected to display emotional understanding and rational behavior.
When an older child in his or her teens throws a temper tantrum in a public place, it is bad. What is autistic behavior? It is possible to see a fully grown child to behave like a monster, lying down on the floor, kicking and screaming. This kind of behavior is called a temper tantrum, a fit or just bad behavior. So, what can you do to manage autistic behavior in teens?
The reason why autistic children behave this way is because they want to communicate and they do not know how to do it reasonably. Teens throwing such tantrums should be taken to a counselor for proper discussion of their problem and their behavior. Autistic children behave this way because of several reasons like they may be hungry, there was a break in their routine which they do not like, and a sudden change in their schedule and anything might warrant their behavior. However, when a teen exhibits the same behavior as an autistic child, it is very important to understand why they behave in such a manner and what is the reason for their behavior. Today, more attention is being given to autistic problems in adults and teens because similar behavior pattern is being noticed in even grown up people.
