How To Know If Child Is Autistic ?

Many parents want to figure out how to know if a child is autistic. The only way to know if your child is autistic is to observe the behavior pattern of the child right from birth.

Children are so different that each one follows their own time table when it comes to development. However, there are some clear symptoms which lead to autism in children.

How to Know If a Child Is Autistic?

If a child does not talk or walk when they are supposed to and show delayed growth, it may be because of autism but it may also mean that the child is just taking longer to reach the milestones. Autism can be correctly diagnosed only when the child is about 3 years old because they show the symptoms more clearly at this age.

Autism also varies in each child and it comes in different degrees. Some children are slightly autistic and they can actually cope with their everyday life. Some children, who are severely autistic, find it difficult to do simple tasks in their everyday life.

A child suffering with autism will throw temper tantrums for no reason, they are more violent and they do not make eye contact with people. They do not listen to you when you talk to them, they do not look at you and also do not like to be held or touched. They are also very difficult to be disciplined. They do not realize when they hurt someone because they do not understand the emotional side of it. This is because the autistic children think only about themselves and do not have consideration for others.
