This is the mask that the doctors are instructed to wear while treating patients down with swine flu. While both the masks cannot essentially filter the virus particles out, they can certainly help in restricting the hands from touching the face.

All said and done, frequent washing of hands and usage of hand sanitizers along with drinking a lot of fluids will certainly help you more that just wearing a mask.
