During the ancient days, when our ancestors inhabited on this earth, there were only a few hundreds of diseases. But today, the list seems to be never ending. There are thousands of diseases listed in almost every medical textbook. Many of these diseases are incurable and have evolved into existence as a result of human errors |
One can never imagine the extent of trauma a person can experience when he/she is informed to have acquired an incurable disease such as cancer or AIDS. Death is inevitable in these patients. Apart from spending thousands of dollars towards treatments, they have to lead their life with the thought that each day could be their last. In these circumstances, when a person gets to know that he/she has recovered from the dreaded clutches of the disease, words are not sufficient to describe the joy and happiness the person experiences.
Persons suffering with an incurable disease also suffer from conditions such as depression, stress, mental and emotional disturbances, and other noticeable health problems. On the other hand, life becomes a full circle for individuals who are successfully cured of their diseases.
In most cases where people have healed from incurable diseases, their perspective about life changes drastically. These are the individuals who have learned the value of being alive in a hard way. Some of the common traits observed in such individuals include becoming kind-hearted, indulging in philanthropic activities, being supportive towards other individuals, helping people who have been suffering with a similar or some other type of dreaded incurable disease, being enthusiastic, having a positive outlook towards life, or enjoying life to the fullest. These people prefer to lead a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy food, exercise regularly and tend to implement all other ways that can keep diseases away so that they can lead a healthy and good life. Apart from that, these individuals tend to become highly spiritual, become more devoted to God, prefer doing social and community service, help in counseling patients and also tend to aid in rehabilitation and other services that provide support to patients.
