The other type of lung cancer that has originated in some other part of the body but spread to the lungs is called the metastasis lung cancer. Around 3 million deaths are caused every year due to lung cancer in the World. Only ten percent of people who have been diagnosed survive and that too for a period of five years or less. It is the most lethal disease as defined by the American Cancer Institute. In America, every single year more than one hundred and sixty three thousand people die of lung cancer and among these, the number of women who die are more.
