Root Canal Post Op Pain Treatment

Sometimes pain may continue after a root canal procedure. This usually disappears within a few days, or weeks at the very most. A thumb rule whether to expect pain after treatment is the degree of pain experienced before it. If acute pain was encountered before treatment, then some pain may be expected after it.

 

The treated tooth may be sensitive to biting pressure or appear to be loose. Sometimes a blister or pimple may appear on the gum which will disappear. The area of the gum around the tooth might be inflamed or infected.
