Can A Condom Get Lost Inside A Woman ?

First time condom users may want to know can a condom get lost inside a woman? It is not actually possible to lose anything inside your vagina, even a condom, as the vagina is only a few inches long and the cervix is at the far end, blocking its entrance into the uterus.

It can only get tucked next to the cervix at the top and to the side of the vaginal canal. It is rather helpful to know that this is know way a condom can get lost, and can be easily removed, either on your own -- with help, or with the help of a gynaecologist.

If a condom does get into the vagina, you can remove it by inserting your fingers inside the vagina as far as possible and gently feeling around the rim of the condom. The best way to do this is by squatting and bearing down like you are going to urinate or defecate.

The only way to avoid such an experience is by taking appropriate precautions like using the right size of condom with a comfortable fit. Also, one should make sure it is rolled all the way to the base of the penis. Hold on to the condom when pulling out. When the penis collapses and gets softer, there are chances of the condom slipping off.

The risk of getting pregnant would be higher in such cases, unless due precautions are taken earlier. There are emergency contraceptives that can reduce the risk of pregnancy for about 120 hours after intercourse. Since they have a very high dose of hormones chances exist of side effects.
