Yoga Poses That Give You Energy

Yoga poses that give you energy are basically those that awaken the cosmic energy lying dormant within the body. These poses are excellent for those who have had a tiring day and looking to feel revitalized.

In fact, taking into consideration our hectic lifestyle of today, all of us should spend 20 minutes each day doing the yoga poses.

Here are some yoga poses that give you energy:

Spinal Flex:

Sit cross legged on the floor and hold your shins. Now inhale deeply and lift your chest forward and up. As you inhale, round your spine. Start this exercise out slowly and gradually build momentum. Do it for 3 minutes. This exercise helps to release the blocked energy present in the spine.

Arm Pumps:

Sit on the floor with your feet folded under you. Intertwine your fingers so that the knuckles are facing outwards and the palms are facing towards you. As you inhale, lift your arms over your head and as you exhale, lower the arms. Do the exercise for 3 minutes. Make sure you hold each position for 15 seconds. This yoga pose stimulates the flow of energy from the spine to the rest of the body.

Stretch Pose:

Sit on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you. Now grab each big toe with the corresponding hand. In case you cannot reach your toes, you can also grab your shin or ankle. Now inhale deeply and arch your back up. As you exhale, bend your waist and lower your head to your knees. Do this exercise for 3 minutes at a brisk pace. A word of caution, you may feel a little dizzy from doing this exercise. So do not get frightened.
